Official Microsoft Programming


Programming is a process that begins with the conception of a new program and runs all the way through to the final release of an .exe file; programmers identify computer problems or needs and go through the creation process to release a final application to meet a consumer or business demands. The purpose of programming is to find a sequence of instructions that will automate a specific task or solve a given problem by writing these instructions in to source code. This source code is written in one or more programming languages (such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Smalltalk, JavaScript, etc.)
